Way back in 1973, it was thanks to one man, Nevio Lotti, that Sorma was established, the parent company of today’s great Sorma Group. The drive and initial strength derive from the invention of the very first bin tippers and punnet clipping machines, which gave value to the abundance of stone fruit present in Romagna. Thereafter, the revenues obtained from these revolutionary ideas allowed him to continue to invest in research and development, until it had become the world’s only company able to build absolutely all the machinery necessary to the post-harvest processing of fruit and vegetable products.
