S&B

Our fifth associate is S&B Verpackungsmaschinen Gmbh, which was founded in 1909 as Spang & Brands in Oberursel and subsequently acquired by the Sorma Group in 1997, moving to Altenstadt, in the very heart of Germany, to be closer to its customers. S&B, which was established and developed on the German market, is characterised by extensive production of potatoes, onions, garlic and carrots, having now accrued formidable know-how in all aspects of the weighing and packaging technology involved in these products. Our weighing machines are an example of this, for which all components in direct contact with products are built entirely from stainless steel. The tailored development coupled with the use of these materials guarantees our machines greater reliability, resistance and duration over time. In addition, in order to be competitive on a high-tech market, S&B designs and develops software in-house, guaranteeing perfect synergy with its hardware. The Sorma Group mission has always been that of acquiring specific know-how on each market and expanding it worldwide.
