The first model that incorporates the selection of internal and external quality is the DEF QI. It is equipped with 3 video cameras per line, one dedicated to the chromatic spectrum visible to the naked eye, an IR for the first infrared spectra and an NIR that covers up to the last invisible spectrum. Thanks to the video camera positioning, coupled with the 360° rotation of the fruit, the entire surface can be inspected, apart from the rotation poles. The customer can thus analyse not only diameter/colour but also internal and external quality.
